Context
A movie trailer I produced for an AI Filmmaking class at Curious Refuge. I'm a big fan of C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, and although the big studios have made feature films out of books 2, 3 and 4, I always wished someone would make a movie of The Magician's Nephew, which is the first book in the series. This is where we first meet Digory, Jadis (later known as the White Witch) and the origins of the iconic Victorian lamppost which Lucy sees as she emerges through the wardrobe portal into the wintry Narnian landscape. This trailer contains some of the key settings, characters and items from the story—the dying world of Charn, the bell, Aslan, the rings, Strawberry (the horse) and of course, the rather despicable Uncle Andrew, aka "the Magician". Whether or not you're familiar with this origin story, my goal with this trailer is to make you want to see the movie version (and maybe nudge one of the studios into finally making it lol)!
Workflow and Tools
This was the first gen AI video I ever made, in early 2024. These AI tools improve so quickly, that both the image and animation generation quality used here now almost look outdated :| but I think the general concept and pacing still hold up.
